My Crib

Hi folks- this is me just being cute in my crib.
It's pretty sweet for a hand-me-down. Once again my parents were big cheapskates and they are borrowing this from our old neighbors. They sure are lucky to have such great friends who give them so much stuff to use for me. Mommy did trick it out with a pretty cool mobile, matching crib skirt and a turtle shaped aquarium thing-a-ma-bob that lights up and plays music and I am now talented enough to turn it on and off by myself. I have some dolls that hang out in here with me too. Overall it's pretty sweet.
Anyway daddy put my crib together for my 4 month birthday. Before that I slept in my bassinet, but at four months I was rolling over and face-planting in to the side of the bassinet, so then I got my crib. I really like it, but every now and then I get lonely in the middle of the night and want a snack, so then I cry. I do this randomly so I can keep mommy and daddy on their toes.

My dogs and the problems they cause

I know I say it all of the time but I am a very lucky girl. I have 2 super cute dogs, Daisy and Dixon. They love me and give me lots of kisses. Sometimes I steal their toys and then mommy gets upset when I try to chew on them- I don't understand why? They are chew toys after all! Sometimes I play in their water bowls and mommy then just gives up and gives me a pan of water to play with on the floor. She's a pushover sometimes!
Anyway Daisy and Dixon are pretty adorable- altogether it doesn't get much cuter than me and these 2 dogs. MOST people realize that, but not one of our neighbors. Nope, he's a stick in the mud and mommy and daddy have much more grown-up names they call him. He seems to think that the dogs are too barky. Good thing I don't cry a lot because I can be pretty loud!
This mean neighbor also doesn't appreciate that mommy puts my diapers out on the deck to dry in the sun! Mommy and Daddy both agree that if this guy doesn't understand we are in the midst of a global energy crisis that he can suck it!

Going for a ride!

Here I am going for a ride in my wagon with my friend Carter. My wagon is another awesome gift from my Aunt Caroline & Uncle Jim aka the Godfather. They gave it to me before I was even born! It's one of my favorite things, but it drives mommy a little nuts that I was up and cruising behind it before I was even 7 months old. She just can't handle my mobility!
Anyway here Carter is pushing me around in my wagon of awesomeness! Carter comes over 2 days a week and we hang out, I share my toys with him and he eats a lot. He is much more into solid food than I am, but we both agree that Cheerios rock!

He's pretty cute isn't he? Even though I am young, I have standards- never settle ladies!

You gotta have friends

I must admit I am pretty lucky to have quite a busy social life for a 7 month old. I go to playgroup nearly every week!
I was lucky enough to live in the super-cool MRE until mommy and daddy moved to Saefern when I was 5 weeks old, but I still make it back to our old 'hood for social events, like happy hour and walks if we wake up in time, which doesn't happen often, because I like my beauty sleep and so does mommy!
Here I am at coffee hour last Tuesday with all my BOYS! That's right- I am the only girl in this photo- mommy says I might have to go to more than 3 proms- that's how many she went to- crazy mommy!

Bath time!

Can you believe it? More pictures of me with no top on! I am totally naked except for the hippy dippy amber necklace that Mommy got me. Also if you look real close- you can see 2 new accessories I just got- 2 bottom teeth! Yes! As Enh says I always do things in a capital way.

Today was a landmark bath time for me. Like Heidi Klum kissing off loser designers on Project Runway, I bid auf wiedersehen to my baby bathtub! Whoo hoo! I am no longer bound by the plastic turtle tub that was made in China! The freedom was amazing and now I have room for so many more bath toys!

My Jumperoo

I love my jumperoo!
My Aunt Caroline and Uncle Jim gave it to me when I was born and I sure am glad!
Mom never buys me cool stuff like this and it's brand new- it's not a hand-me-down or from craigslist or freecycle! Dad set it up for me, but it took him a while to put batteries in it. Wow- I have some CHEAP parents! But now it lights up and plays music and I rock the house in it!
When all of my friends came over for playgroup everyone wanted to try out the jumperoo- it was the hit of the party!

Out on the town!

Posted by Picasa]Mommy and Daddy take me out and about to so many places. I am pretty lucky and often hear, "what's a baby like you doing in a place like this?" when they they take me out to places like Davis' Pub, The Boatyard or now more frequently Ram's Head Roadhouse. Yes, they take me to bars.
Thank goodness smoking was banned in Maryland 11 days before I was born!
Grammy and Enh seem to think it's alright though, they always pick up the tab!

Pool Time!

Mommy says we are really lucky to live here in Saefern where we can walk to the pool.
I love the water and love the pool! I go underwater sometimes and love to kick and splash!
It has been great going to the pool this summer and meeting my neighbors, Robbie and Richard, (I am totally going to both of their proms mom said!) Bryce, the twins, Maggie and Sam. The baby pool is the place to be!

Check out my swim diaper- it's imse vimse, which is European and when it's not too sunny out mommy just let's me wear it solo and says I am going "European" style. Daddy just says it's mommy being lazy!
